Actually he has an Aunt in France so he'll have family to stay with when he's not in the hospital. His parents are from the Ivory Coast in Africa. Abidjan I believe. He went to France because of the hospital where he's having the surgery. Supposed to be one of the best in the world. Leave the facts to us and just concentrate on praying!
You got it! What's the name of the hospital, and how long is his stay, Mr. helper? Actually, I know someone who might drop by and see him during recovery.
OUT OF SURGERY News from his Aunt is: He made it through the 1st surgery ok. Lost a lot of blood and blood pressure is really low as well. Received blood in return and his aunt says he seems well. I may be calling him here in a few. Repo man - thanks - I kinda thought the screen name was awesome myself. Mongo and I thought it up when we laid pitlizard to rest.
Talked to him just a few minutes ago. Sounds great. Said his blood pressure is still a concern to the doctors. He told me what it was - but since I don't understand their measurements - I'll assume it's low. He can't sit up in bed - they tried to elevate his head to eat and he said it made his incision bleed alot. ***Oh, and he was a little alarmed because the doctors asked if he wanted to be AWAKE for the surgery. He said "you ARE kidding, right?" and they said "no, you wouldn't feel it anyway"... He then asked if he could see what they were doing while they were operating - and they said "nope - you'd be laying flat". Papa declined the offer to lay flat and listen to bone being sawed off his hips. GROSS! What were they thinking?
Papa has been and will continue to be in our prayers here. Glad you are doing well Lisa, Tell him Tex says howdy.
