Yea, there's the gun thread but too much to read through. Most here know I'm in a wheelchair so I'm looking for a very specific application. I'm looking for a very small, light gun to carry in a small pocket under the seat of my wheelchair. Small size and light weight are the most important criteria and not outright stopping power. I'll have other guns as back up that have stopping power. Whatchya got?
Seriously though, it sounds like the pocket under the seat is accessible between your legs? What are the dimensions of the pocket?
WTH? You want a small, lightweight gun of questionable stopping power to use as your first choice in what, defense? And THEN you're gonna get your big guns? Dude, just rock with some open carry.
The pocket is accessible between my legs. It's larger than a fat wallet size and about 1" longer and 2" deeper.
I'd say a Glock model 26 or 27 would do nicely. It's a 40 cal or 9 mm subcompact, holds 9 shot, and is smaller than a billfold. They are a little wide though.
I don't like carrying mine because of the width (may as well carry the Beretta) but if that's not an issue they're perfect for what you want.
The LC-9S is the preferred version. They went striker-fired and the trigger is much better than the previous versions.
Never fired one personally. I don't dig on a chambered round indicator so the weapon was a non-starter for me.
Smith&Wesson Bodygyard .380 Ruger LCP .380 Springfield XD-S 9mm Glock G43--single stack 9mm, slim like the XD-S
Kahr PM or CM model. Pick your poison on caliber My CM9 fits in the back pocket of my jeans and doesn’t weigh much at all
Have someone sew a bigger pocket and don’t compromise on firearm choice? Not even going down the whole ‘other backups with stopping power’ road.....
