A young "Democrat"

A young teenage girl was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat but her father was a rather staunch Republican.

One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.

She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying.

He asked, "How is your friend Mary." She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, went to all the parties all the time. Why she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.

Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.

The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and Mary has done nothing".

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party".

bad analogy Brad - Clinton was anything but a limp dick.;)

And speaking of limp dicks, if Bush I had any testosterone flowing in his veins he would have taken care of Saddam during the Gulf War.

Zeb is right -- neither of those guys have anything to be proud about!!! Very ironic actually -- both the Dem and the Republican presidents dodged the draft.

And i'm not b/c i agreed with Schwarzkopf? Or is it that anyone who disagrees with you couldn't possibly be smart?

Would that be Schwarzkopf's personal opinion? The only thing I've ever heard him say, which I agree with, is that Desert Storm acheived the goals that were set forth and agreed to before the conflict. I've never heard him say that removing Sadam was or should have been a priority. I didn't think he even commented on the political side of that debate.

Hell, maybe you are a smart guy. Fill me in!

Schwartzkopf wanted to finish off the Iraqi's but was held back by Bush and Powell. I think that you are right in terms of what he said publicly though.

    RCjohn Killin machine.

Stormin Norman would have like to choke the life out of Saddam personally I'm sure. :D

As for Clinton and Bush's record in the military... I agree that neither has anything to be proud of but one thing that still burns my ass(other than a 3 ft high flame) is Clinton going to Moscow and protesting against the USA but still gets enough idiot support to get elected twice.... damn scary.

Clinton = worthless Governor and worthless President.

Thats a long storie. (limp dick) As to why former prz. Bush, did not
cross the border. I saw a PBS special as to why that was.
All I can say : It was a smart political move on his behalf.
Not that I agree on right or wrong but the main factor
was : ALL the people, ie refugees, that had crossed into that
area, our military personel, were flying food and supllies to them several time a day. THEY COULD NOT LAND !
All they could do is hover(spelling) and shove the supplies out the back of the coptor. Why? Because Bush was told that if he was to
cross the border and or if he landed, he, ie the American people,
would then be responsible for ALL the refugees.
( Thousands and thousands of people. ) Thank you
united nations ! So, in turn , he stoped. And now you know the
rest of the story. Years and years of no one doing anything
about the prblem in that are of the world.
Now , you may say, " What the hell does that have to with
taking out Sadahm-insane." This was just one of the main reasons he was not allowed to take care of business.

Give it up, Gore and the Dems were the ones trying to "steal" the election....

Get a grip on the facts here, besides you live in a socialist state.. you have no grounds for comment

Hmm what the hell do I mean,

COME ON USE A FEW BRAIN CELLS,

The attempt to “equate” or make equal what Clinton did not do, SERVE in any way to what Bush did do, SERVE in a position available by choice, hence the term “FALSE EQUITY” Your position is one of intellectual dishonesty.

LETS SEE one (Clinton) took a cowards way out, repeatedly demonstrated by him throughout all aspects of his career "I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMAN" ETC ETC ETC

The other made a smart choice to honor his service requirement,,, you are proud to ridicule the one that did serve and you honor the one that not only evaded service in any way but repeatedly dishonored the highest office in the land!

You belittle Bush’s intelligence yet he managed to become a qualified Jet Pilot, have you achieved any such accomplishment? Simple fair logic seems to escape your immediate grasp…..

Bush is not my idea of the ideal President, but he IS the President…… and he certainly brings more respect and dignity to the Country and office then Clinton EVER did….
