Same rules as the other bikes, just have to stick with stock rods and pistons. The RS660 has an iron bore and the cylinders are part of the upper case. Cylinder liners are free so they can be repaired and brought back into spec when they wear out. If they didn't include that, then we would need new cases when the bore wore out.
I liked Drebber, but I loved "Uncle Dave" Despain when he was announcing. Or were Despain and Sadowski never a team? I'm slow. Regardless, I liked all three of them, at minimum.
I don't think Despain and Ski worked together. Drebber brought Ski in as the color guy. Despain did Wind Tunnel at that time, but I don't remember him doing live broadcasting of road races in that era except for Daytona. I can ask him.
I think he did but he wasn't a regular. I don't remember him working with Ski tho. Despain is a damn national treasure IMHO. I remember him hosting Cycle News, that show was my window into what motorcycling was all about. That's probably first time I heard of WERA, they covered the Endurance series. IIRC.
Despain did it much earlier and never worked with Ski as I remember it. So for sure Drebber and Ski were the combo
https://motoamerica.com/motul-retur...s-presenting-sponsor-of-motoamerica-mini-cup/ https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-motul-renews-mini-cup-sponsorship-with-video/ Pretty cool that they are expanding the series to 8 total races. Hope they work the kinks out for the participants and it proves a positive and beneficial experience for all.
https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-jigalov-preparing-to-race-honda-in-stock-1000/ WERA dude making moves, looking forward to seeing him in MA and at Roebling
Agreed and the part about Jamie most solidifies this argument. She was absolutely fantastic from day 1.
That’s a big jump, did he ever get any twins cup or 600 experience or will this be his first time throwing around a big bike?
Yeah, thought I read they were going to announce something. Now they've ghosted us all. I hope they don't withdraw from the series...
Pretty sure he's ridden big bikes just not raced at a high level. I believe he's ridden Keanu Reeves r1 etc
Just catching up on this thread today. Thomas was leading the race at Mid-Ohio in 1996 when it was red flagged. Scoring went back a lap, so he finished second behind Pascal on the Yosh Suzuki. (Ending Yosh's 6 year drought.) It was a rain race, and LRRS privateer Brett Metzger beat Miguel for the last spot on the podium.
