Don't see how that would be possible. The linkage serves as the interface between the swingarm and the shock itself, so the top has to have a solid mount. I'm more curious to know just how far back/under that fuel tank goes......
Instead of being solidly mounted to the frame the shock is solidly mounted to the swingarm (bottom mount)
I like those big mufflers and cats. It means an easy 20-30lb weight drop with an aftermarket exhaust.
or they eliminated a linkage alltogether but eitherway doesnt seem very advantageous to me. Im sure they have a good reason for it though.
I'm sure whatever they did they put a lot of work into it. These bikes (high power I-4's) have real problems with rear grip and tire life so it takes a really good swingarm and electronics to put that power to the ground.
1. There seems to be no room at the bottom for the linkage, big cat AND underbraced swingarm. 2.The top mount of the shock is way back for it to be mounted directly to the frame. I guess we'll find out in a few days
They do look kinda like the carbon ones on the HP4 Race model. Which are also being sold by the people who make them for BMW direct to the public for other bikes now https://www.thyssenkrupp-carbon-components.com/#highlights
