I think Miller and Zarco mixing it up at the pointy end next year is going to be interesting to watch. Two guys who give no fucks, nor take no fucks
I didn't, I thought they would be hard pressed to get into the top 8, and maybe finish in the top 6 once or twice in 2017.
I wish MotoGP would make a “No stupid bodywork shit” rule. Bikes are supposed to look like this... Not like this... Or this... He looks dumb as fuck rolling up on the grid with that bigass box looking bike. It would be different if he was dominating every race, but he typically can’t even crack the top 5, and always gets his ass handed to him by normal looking bikes.
That’s the thing, it doesn’t. He gets his ass handed to him every weekend...by guys on “normal” bikes.
He obviously thinks it helps him so who are we to judge ? Lol He's run both and has been doing better since he started using it Hell last year's bike with the wings was ugly too and both guys used it lol
Top MotoGP bike is only 0.455s faster than the top Superbike at testing in Jerez. Anybody know where the superbikes are faster? GP Bikes are lighter.. More powerful.. Carbon brakes.. What gives? I have a hard time believing that the tires we can get at the local club race are better than MotoGP tires.
I think the SBK tires are significantly better but I believe power to weight ratios have to an extent leveled off to physics. The GP bike might have 30-40 more HP and be lighter but it means nothing if you can't put it to the ground via electronics and rubber
GP bikes are 30-40hp more, roughly 30lbs less, and have much more advanced electronics paired with arguably the best rubber on the planet. Being 0.4 - 0.8/lap faster on a track with roughly a 100 second lap time means parity to 99.4% between the two series if you use todays times as a reference point.
Beyond was already stated, Sykes was on Qualifiers apparently. The Michelin soft is likely very good, but a qualifier it isn't ...
