A friend of mine has a bone stock R6 and got a Yoshi Slip on exhaust for it . He said he hasn't installed it bc of some reading he did and some shop said he needs to install a Power commander first or hell burn up the exhaust valves. Is this something specific to the R6? To my knowledge sure it's "nice to have" to get a perfect tune but not anywhere near necessary. I never had that problem on any of my bikes nor can I point to someone who has because they installed a slip on with no PC, but I'm no R6 expert so I'll let you 90% of thy beeb that run them chime in.
