Eh, was talking about my posts. Threads do, others posts do, but it's extremely rare. I don't post anything over the few lines we do have here so all of mine are still available.
https://unnecessaryinventions.com/ The guy comes up with some amazingly useless things. Mice and keyboard extensions for standing desks. Gloves made in the style and material of Crocs. I highly recommend the Cobb Quickly.
Maybe I should start a historical military aircraft thread. To test the radar cross section of the F-117, a scale model was taken out to the Tonopah test range. Basically, the model is put on a pedestal and nano tons of invisible light is shot at it to see if anything bounces back. During testing, a bird landed on the model, which caused a spike in radar returns. Up until that point, the test engineers weren’t sure if radar equipment was working right. So you can thank some bird that probably died of bird brain cancer for validating that test rig. Funny fact: Polaroid photos with just the F-117, or pretty much any stealthy jet in it, are usually blurry since that particular camera uses sonar to automatically set focus.
yes please to military aircraft thread - also ... that story is awesome, nearly as awesome as the aircraft ... nearly lol
