Fuel tank capacity doesn’t diminish with age...unless it’s a Chevy

I wonder. My 1964 Chevy pick up has the original gas tank. Does 18 gallons of modern fuel contain the same potential energy as 18 gallons of 1964 fuel? Where's Crashman? He should know this stuff.

Venom51 John Deere Equipment Expert - Not really

It only epxands with a Chevy. The ground can hold a hell of a lot more fuel than the tank from which it is leaking...

Really? Want to guess again? Even nuke plants slightly edge coal fired units.

Not that I give a shit, an electric impact wrench might be in my future, doubtful I’d consider one unless it was a model S for some drag strip giggles.

So the tree huggers are hip to trash burners as “renewable energy”?

Looks like everything on that list ultimately came from one source, the sun. Why don't we just harness that one source and quit being greedy about how much horsepower the refinement of its by-products can make. I mean, geez, it's not like we have anywhere to be in a hurry or anything as we careen through the galaxy looking for the answer to the ultimate question.

Look up "waste to energy" for the waste disposal business if you really think we are worried about emissions.

Corporations paying double, using tripe the energy, all to incinerate trash that could have just been landfilled.

If emissions are the issue we are clearly doing it wrong.

Hey, don't confuse us with the facts, our minds are already made up. :D

The people pushing for unrealistic EV progress are the same types that would mandate seatbelts on motorcycles.

    Anyone remember Joan Claybrook?

Her idea of a safe motorcycle was rear wheel steering. Yes, I'm serious.

That's the government at work for you. Because they know better than you.

Not surprising. That engine was a dud (from everything I've heard/read), they never marketed it properly, was overpriced, and didn't offer it in anything than the higher trim levels.

No wonder it only lasted a few model years.
