That’s a nice looking fuel can but at $236 they sure are proud of it. All this talk of plastic cans, I always thought you were supposed to keep race fuel in a steel can to eliminate the horsepower creating magic from escaping? I bought a couple steel gas cans just for that purpose when we were racing. I tried to find some old style Gerry cans for awhile at the local store and then came across nice round steel fuel gas cans. This was what I paid for my 5 gallon can 10-15 years ago. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Eagle-5-Gal-Metal-Gasoline-Can-w-Funnel/1002867890
I extended my vacation, wanted to see things from a different perspective. It's all the same...no point going anywhere else. Thanks for noticing my absence.
Has anybody experimented with corny (5 gallon) or half barrel (15 gallon) kegs? Would be pretty easy to replace gaskets with Viton and pretty slick to be able to fill using CO2 and gas line. Wouldn't even need to pick up the can and they can hold crazy pressure.
I got the Polisport 20L jug in, filled it and it's been sitting in my living room for the past two days, it's leakproof as far as I can tell. I didn't thread the filler neck into the cap, since they said it's supposed to be transported w/o the neck, but maybe I'll test that next.
