Yeah tried lining it up with a screwdriver from the opposite end. Flipped the wheel, took off the captive spacers and even tried some soft rubber hammer taps. Someone at the track mentioned the wheel bearing but driving home I remember it wasn’t the bearings that was causing the jam.
Aha! Yep, replace the bearings with year appropriate ones and you are good to go. Just make the "new" wheel the same as the "old" wheel and everything will be golden. New parts: Wheel bearings, inner spacer, (external) wheel spacers.
