At first I swore the "going on vacation" reference was because since Chino came back from his, his take down game has been on point . .then I figured it out. . .:D

Is it just me? In every "family" situation I'm familiar with nothing would get between the parents and their kids. I'm a pretty low-key walk-the-line guy but I would murder the SOB who seriously and intentionally hurt my kids. There would be no mercy for him if he hurt my grandkids. Don't care the consequences, it would be done. I can't imagine intentionally putting my kids in harms way. Who the holly hell does that? I understand taking risks for potential improvements but never at the ultimate risk to the kids. Whats this world coming to when the family structure is breaking down so much?

At first, I thought it was stupid to sign it, but now he puts the onus on the court and/or Congress.

It's all relative - both my brother and I went to boarding school - his was in Europe and had corporal punishment (as in bending over a desk and getting caned by the headmaster). . .mine had institutionalized mental and physical hazing - he was 11 and I was 13 and he was traveling internationally by himself without GPS, cellphones, internet ect frequently. . .

My mom's punishment as a child when she did something bad was to kneel on hard corn kernels in the corner, my dad's parents in order to get him to stand up straight would take a double sided razor and threaten to cut the back of his neck if his head bent forward.

Anybody who allows their children to go into the military as a teenager or join elite sports programs earlier than that are kidding themselves if they think there can't be serious consequences with those educations. . .

Nothing against what you describe on your brothers travels. Especially today airlines track the kid etc. Of course the poor abused by America kids were traveling a bit different than I suspect your brother was. Not sure on the cell coverage but on top of a train of death through Mexico. Of course there are other decent folks mixed in with the criminals and gang bangers on the train. Then escorted through the desert by a cartel protected coyote. Who knows maybe someone along the way likes little boys. Having your folks sign you up for that solo is a bit harsher than the razor (which is pretty bad)

Trump caved because he saw that the tide was going to wash his ass out to sea. The Democrats are the world's best at taking an issue and turning it into an emotional issue. When that happens every frigging soft hearted asshole in the country will turn out and raise hell about it. From that the flip flopping politicians will then jump on board so as not to have their constituents hang their ass from a streetlamp.

We've been drifting in this direction for decades and it is not going to stop. The liberals know what they want and are not going to stop until they achieve it. It's always the same. The more conservative minded individuals want an ordered and consistent life according to rules and laws passed down by actual thinking people while the liberals want whatever "feels good" at the time even though it will eventually result in a free- for- all kind of existence down the road. They don't understand that what "feels good" today will no longer be in style when the next generation takes power. Today, there are very few real conservatives in Washington.
Hell, I'm rambling again. I guess I'm just feeling depressed because of all this BS that we have no control of.:(

No offense taken. Like I said it’s all relative – most commenting on the situation have no first hand experience with the conditions that are causing those parents to make those decisions (just like most have no first hand experiences to help fill in the blanks on why my parents would make the decisions they did or their parents making the decisions they made). What is pretty constant is no matter how foreign the reasoning is of another’s decision making in regards to their children, more often than not, the parents are making those choices to “help” their kids.

My dad lived under a dictator and my mom grew up under communism. . .the risks they and their family had to take for better lives for their themselves and their children (living where they grew up) were significantly different than the risks they had to take with themselves and their children living in the US. It’s one thing to try to understand where the parents are coming from in those situations drastically different from your own, it’s another to apply your current situation (and all the benefits that go along with it) as a justification for why others in radically different scenarios should think, behave and act like someone out of those scenarios.

I didn't get vacationed, the weather just finally got nice up here and I've been too busy doing the whole motorcycle thing we're all supposed to have in common :D scramble all week, ride, daydream, scramble, ride. Takes a lot of time and focus to give the dungeon more than just passing troll attention.

Relax my man. In the last few days Trump's approval ratings were higher than they have ever been since the election. The more the left lies, the higher Trump's support is. You worry too much about the left's antics...they are killing themselves. 10,000 people in the land of 10,000 lakes were chanting CNN SUCKS! tonight.

Check it out...tonight Trump was in Duluth MN. This is the Iron Range which is historically Dem voters because of the union jobs, (mining) and it's the reason MN has been blue forever. So he packed a stadium to capacity, 10,000 people with several thousand more outside. Trump is going to flip that district in November, then the way it's looking it will flip in 2020. What that means is MN will go red, this is pretty incredible.

The Iron Rangers have been suffering because Obama lost their jobs and mines shut down. The whole northern half of the state has been in trouble. Trump brought their jobs back, mines are back open and business is booming. To see the massive crowd in Duluth supporting Trump is amazing. This is a pretty big sign of what's been happening and what's coming. I think we are going to see MN go red. It's not just this rally but the signs are everywhere and it's pretty amazing.

If Trumps Executive Order results in a longer term, more permanent solution on the immigration issue then it’s a good thing. Both sides seemed to be stuck on the issue. Get the new laws passed, enforce them and secure the border. But the reality of the situation is, Dems will never agree to any provision that further secures the US borders. It seems they want this issue to be a never ending ongoing talking point to help secure the Latino vote.

Can Trump just issue an Executive Order to build the wall. How ironic would that be when you had both Chuck and Nancy blasting Trump for not using this power on separated illegals.

I’m a little amazed that Congress seems so willing to shift even more power to the Executice Branch. I just don’t think Congress has much appetite for passing any legislation that might seem controversial or what they are making it out to be as controversial as presented to their voting base.

Meanwhile Donald's over there like "Guys, I tried to build a wall to nip this problem in the bud, but you didn't want that either"

Dem's need problems to keep any power they have. Solutions are not a democratic rallying point. Pose a legit solution to a problem to a staunch democrat and I'd bet everything I have that within 30 seconds they would reply to the solution with a problem.

Here's something I have wondered for quite a while...

Why do we tolerate our southern neighbor being in a 20+ year power struggle with cartels? I would like to hear genuine discussion of whether or not pushing troops into Mexico and playing catch on the Mexican side of the border is a possibility. Then, put the screws to Mexico to pay to house them in Mexico (under our watch primarily still) and require they accept any help they need to remove the cartels. Want us to stay put and keep an eye out for you, fine. Need a few special ops teams to help coordinate your own, fine. Want us to just wholesale wipe them out, fine.

In my opinion, we're having the absolutely wrong conversation by even talking about what to do while playing catch or how to build and defend a wall. My problem as an American is with Mexico and not at all with Mexicans. Are there enough benefits to the right people with cheap labor from Mexicans on both sides of the border that we actually prefer the destabilized country and having a constant immigration issue?

I would be against that as I think it is flat out an invasion. That said there have been instances of their troops crossing over. When that occurs I feel we are fine to retaliate plus some. In the end it is a problem for the citizens. Rather than send troops just stop the wealth transfer from illegals and watch their economy collapse. Maybe after that we can help our neighbors achieve positive change.
