The FIM list is not the MA list. If it wasn't on the MA list it would have been DQ'd. I haven't heard/seen any last minute changes to homologated bikes or the 1k rules.
But according to the homologated list posted by MotoAmerica the V4R is only listed as approved for superbike and the only Ducati eligible for Superstock is the 1199... http://www.motoamericaregistration....PRGHMcTCONC2hXK5-tgQ3DkigOcz9qmg1p23cM_mk-78Y
Have the rules changed in Stock 1000 since 2017? the track was arguably faster this year. PJ was running about as fast as you would expect him to run given his talent level, and right with the times Matt, Bobby, Jake, Danny, etc were running then.
What is there to protest though? The finishing order reflected talent, IMO. PJ and Cam Peterson are going to be up front in that class every race. He even lost to Cory on the same bike, so I’m not sure how MA is biased. He was even 3 seconds off what Matt Scholtz and Jake Lewis were able to do three years ago on SSTK1000 bikes, and PJ was on par with those times. I would out Hammer, Westby, HSBK on equal footing, as well as the caliber of those riders. As far as bike cost, Cam is on a Team Hammer built bike, and I believe Mesa and Cory are in equally prepped Graves bikes. How much did it cost for Chuck Graves and The Ulrich’s to develop those bikes to that point? A lot $$.
Okay, here's what the 2020 rulebook stays regarding superstock 1000 qualification, and maximum pricing for FIM SuperStock 1K per the 2020 FIM rulebook, as well as the 2020 FIM superstock 1K homologated machines. I now think Mesa has a pretty solid case.
That 2nd twins race was brilliant. I was hoping Madama and Parrish could have reeled the kids in. Man oh man what a good race.
Feel free to come out to a round or 2 dude. We have the cheapest beer in the paddock, right up your alley.
