Anyone here with a basic garage machine shop that wants to make some extra $$$?

I have a project brewing and looking for someone who may want to do production for me. It would be identical per piece work, and I can provide an accurate prototype.

The premise is that I am producing a quantity of shortened Royal Enfield Himalayan sidestands. The work involves cutting off the foot of a stock unit, welding on a new circular foot (I'll provide these), painting flat black and mailing the quantity back to me. Probably dealing with qty 25 or so at a time.

Depending on sales volume, this cycle might repeat every 30 days or so.

Good opportunity to make some decent $$$ for tires and race entry fees :D

Hit me up if interested and I can send photos.

Here is the prototype to be duplicated. Basically, cut off the stock pad and 1/4” of the stock stand, weld on new foot, paint black.

Can you laser cut a quantity of the round footpads?

We have a plasma cutter not lazer, same thing but less expensive to own and operate, but maybe not as clean

Depending on thickness you could punch them...cheaply with little cleanup.

Im not sure if it is worth it but the racer Michael Gilbert’s dad owns a business where they cut out stuff with either laser or water, I don’t remember? I can ask him if you are planning more than the 25 you mentioned above?

Edit: actually Richard I will get you his number if you are interested.

I don't know anything about this stuff... just need round stock that looks decent... would be great if top and bottom edges had a small bevel, but I think that would add to the complexity?

When you say not as clean, what does that mean?

    Cool, I didn't know that.

That would be great, Rob. Depending on cost, I could do a much larger quantity.... maybe even a few hundred.

I get it, it's an inexpensive part on an inexpensive (but fun) bike but looking at the part you posted I'd kill to see what Britt could make as a replacement. If his MotoR shit was any indicator it'd be Sano as f@ck.:flag:

FWIW, I'm hoping this will be qty 500-1,000 over the course of 12 months.
