Springfield range officers any good?

 

I've been eyeballing them for awhile too. No personal experience, but they sure look good

 

I have springfield elite operator, and I am not planning to get rid of it any time soon. One of my fav to shoot.

 

There is one of those at the LGS . May have to swing by

 

Are AR pistols worth the effort? Something in the 9 to 11 inch range with an arm brace...

 

Only use I see for them is suppressed because of the balance. And they look cool.

 

I have an SBR and an AR-Pistol. The only functional difference is the Stock (SBR) and the Brace/Blade (Pistol).
12" barrel on both.
SBR is 300blackout set for subsonic.
AR-Pistol is 5.56.

It's fun to build it up from scratch.

 

Gun noob, be gentle... I think it's time to upgrade from the .25acp junky pistol I've had for 20+ years...
Looking at:
ATI GSG 1911 .22LR
Rossi RS22 .22LR
Beretta APX FDE 9mm

.22LR makes sense from a practical standpoint, cheap plentiful ammo. Really only looking at the Beretta cause it's cool and seems like a bargain at $330.

 

And literally as I was typing... the Beretta sold out

 

Yup, and they just discontinued the Elite models, so there are some deals on them. I carry an Elite Commander daily and have a TRP as well. No issues with either of them. Lube them every couple thousand rounds and use good magazines and they are GTG.

 

I have the GSG 1911 as a trainer/plinker to go with my regular 1911's. Haven't had any issues with it. only thing that annoys me is the takedown isn't like a regular 1911. Otherwise it's nice to be able to cross train for so little $$

Trigger didn’t suck before but heavier with more travel than I prefer. Installed the $20 trigger kit from M-Carbo (shipped from Clearwater, LOL)

Double action before average was high 10’s, single action average was high 5’s.

After double action averages 5.16, single action now average now 2.49. No polishing, just the kit. Better travel, break, like butter...

 

A braced and folding AR type pistol would be fun...
