This almost seems like an April 1st message. I'm shocked no one here has brought this up. https://advrider.com/nbc-inks-multi-year-deal-with-motogp/
Sweet. The more access the American public has to road racing, the more it can grow as a sport. It would be smart for Motoamerica to advertise during the broadcasts. NBC is covering AFT also. Good stuff all around.
Hmmm. This will probably kill my ability to see motogp on bein. NBCSN was too pricey for my blood the last time i looked.
Race time or broadcast time? Don't get me wrong, if this happens, I will watch every round, but I will have to withhold judgement on broadcast quality until I see the product.
[QUOTE="The network will also partner with MotoGP on an over the top (OTT) product (i.e. streaming) which includes coverage of both the Moto2 and Moto3 racing classes. [/QUOTE] So I can watch MotoGP on one of their cable networks but I have to figure out how to watch Moto2 & 3 some other way? I want my commercial-free beIN back.
I’ll stick with the moto go pass for now. If it’s anything like SX you’ll have to pay extra on top of your already exorbitant cable bill.
Okay, I guess I'll be the dick (again): How is this better then what what we had on Bein? Bein coverage was awesome, we got all three races, a prerace jabber jaw session. and they were great with the commercials, not interrupting the racing and few and far between. Yeah, if and when the race is shown on NBC more eyes may catch it but that article reads like NBC will only broadcast motogp and you'll have to go to the intragores to catch moto2 and moto3. And when the race isn't on the good NBC, you'll have to find NBCSC. Yeah, I get NBCSC (came with Sam's hockey package) but not everyone does. Bein coverage was awesome and NBC will have big shoes to fill.
