One would hope... The OMB red mist gets in the way of rational thinking with these twits, so people like Biden stay in/move up in office.
Yeah good point. One thing I didn't see there though is how anti-gay he used to be. He didn't even want gays working in government. It's hilarious to me how the most supported dem candidate is on video touching girls, sniffing women, says racist shit almost daily, super anti-gay. Meanwhile Trump is the first POTUS to be gay friendly, non-racist and gets falsely accused of all the shit Biden does. Gawd dem voters are dumb.
I haven’t decided if the dems are just sacrificing this one to the gods of incumbency, or if they’re so confident in their ability to steal an election that it doesn’t matter who they run.
I think it's just that the left has thrown in the towel on 2020, kinda like the 'phants did on '12 with Mittens. The BIGGEST issue that the right could attack 'bama on was ACA (aka Obamacare). But Romney couldn't bash him on it, because the damn thing was largely modeled on ROMNEYcare. The right threw away 2012, and it looks like the left is tossing a sacrificial lamb to the altar of 2020
I totally agree. I think the whole point of the 20+ people in the Dem run is to just get their name out there so in 2024 they already have some name recognition. Also the money...don't forget the money.
It all depends on the economy. If it keeps rolling, Trump will win easily in 2020. If we hit even a modest recession all bets are off assuming the Democrats don't put up one of their more extreme socialists as the candidate. Anyone close to moderate or that can pivot to a close to moderate position will have a decent shot if the economy is not strong.
And this is why you have to watch for his enemies, both out and hidden, to tank the economy in the coming months.
And after Trump wins anyway, I'd love to see him block any and all federal spending in those states. Close the military bases, block their highway funding... Cut them to the fullest extent allowed by law (and executive order).
On one hand I agree, on the other, I'm not sure I like the idea of using the office to get revenge on political adversaries (a la Obama against the Tea Party and against Trump). Once that becomes acceptable, it's a short leap to dictatorship.
