Wow......I only knew of that company for their elevators you see in many buildings. Pretty amazing that they found their way into the moto game as well, but I guess being a multinational conglomerate they have their hands in much more than we would think.
Yeah, I went to their FB page expecting pictures of bikes and such to fap over. Was really confused for a moment there
Maybe that's what makes up the M-pack mentioned (among a few other features), which claims a 7.7 lb reduction.......
I thought all the cf parts for the HP4 Race were made in-house by bmw. I remember reading how they managed to impressively reduce production time and thus cost.
Could be that Thyssenkrupp did the consulting or something and kept the rights to produce them on their own if they wanted to.
with a year or two of factory development or twice as long for privateer development, sure. in the hands of a underfunded privateer effort that doesnt get any development support, nope. but both of those are likely true of any motorcycle in SBK.
which ducati? the panigale v4 has a traditionally positioned bottom linkage between the exhaust chambers as seen below
The Panigales were the first in a LONG line of SBK to move the linkage from the top of the shock/under seat area. The 916/996/998/999/1098/1198 all had linkages like below
oh hell yes, that's a nice build. I don't often like "custom" builds on current models but that one is sharp.
I hope all of these leaked pictures are what the bike really ends up looking like. Livengood really likes the BMW. If I don’t get an R1, that’s his 2nd choice. Of all the bikes he has tuned for U4.4 (that also had a stock motor and full exhaust), the BMW is the only bike that’s been able to match the power output my 1299S (mine made a lot more torque, as expected, but HP was the same). The electronics are really good also.
I work for a company that is owned by thyssenkrupp and had no idea they made carbon wheels. It's a massive company.
