No surprise there. The people that didn’t wear Nike, still won’t and those that wear them still will. The difference is that the people that support the cause has added sales. I’m not gonna wear or not wear something because the company supports someone I disagree with. That’s what sheep do.
Yeah, that was what I was getting at. For all the attention it got, it never was going to hurt them long term at all. And consumers are fickle as all hell. Just going by my FB feed, everyone already forgot about it.
Im still getting tons of homemade nike ads, constantly on FB, here , everywhere. I have to say this whole thing is just pure marketing genius.
You may very well be correct and it wouldn't surprise to see sales start to drop off eventually. I sure do get amused (in some ways) to see all the "burn your Nike's" idiocy. Hopefully, most of them will be smart enough to take the damn things off before setting fire to their feet.
The beeb needs a button... somewhere on the posts, that reads ""There it is... the stupidest thing I read today"". Limit denizens to one vote per day.
Yesterday I went to my son’s pop warner football game. I was in the parking lot walking in when the anthem was being sung. Fully half the people in that lot just carried on bullshitting/picking their noses/whatever. This is in North Florida, hardly a liberal bastion. I just loudly said “Oh, but we’re mad at Colin and Nike, huh?” after the anthem was over. Buncha hypocrites for the most part.
