Here's a link to the National Data Buoy Center - "Hurricane Florence Special" page: https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/radial_search.php?storm=at1 There's a way to display the buoy stations on an interactive map, I just haven't poked around enough yet to find it. However if you pull up an individual buoy, it displays the interactive map. These huge storms fascinate me. The kinetic and thermal physics involved are mind-boggling. I saw a blurb that suggested 10 TRILLION gallons of rain are in the picture. Think 15 million Olympic-sized swimming pools... I'm not a 'pray-type' guy. But I'm wishing for the best for all those whose lives will be affected by this hummer. Good Luck. .
That is truly cool but way too much raw data for me I want the windspeed in the youtube feed with the flag
Close enough to for some reason this year not have to do the math on my age - except I've been off a year the entire time....
My wife went to the store today - they were still out of water, so she picked up a 20 pack of beer. Hopefully we’ll be able to nurse it through the storm.
I bought 6 liters of wine, 1 liter of vodka, and a case of White Claw...and there isn't anything happening up here.
This just in, local man says water sweeping into property. Only one foot left before he's under water. Film at 11.
Nah. I just stocked up before all of the bills were due. After the car payment is made, I am poor until next month.
