I miss my Gen 2! $2,000

    I miss my Gen 2... or at least the idea of it, as it sits in my garage have torn apart.

    Buh, that's a Gen 1? (Frame, bodywork and instrument cluster say 'Carbs' to me.)

    Yes, i've been following your saga in the tech section. Good reading. Especially the adapter that came loose from the fitting and was spinning . She is fighting you tooth and nail

    I have an 05,
    Penske shock, scotts damper yoshi pipe, motion pro throttle, keyless ignition.
    Fresh paint & was stripped & cleaned over the winter.
    Been down a few times but solid bike.
    $3,200 w/ a few sets GPA take offs (great shape).

    I have a '99 with carbs (I guess that would be a gen 1) that was a retired SS bike with a fresh rebuild that I got to do track days. Did a few, but life intervened for a while, so it is indeed "gathering dust". I'm way down in Florida, but I dunno I kind of fit your description, so thought I'd throw it in there.

    Yea I definitely want to stay fuel injected. If you were close I would probably still consider it. Good God she is beautiful

    ive always wanted to do a 99 with flatslides and nasty cams. last one I saw done like that was an absolute terror on track
