The Missus wants to visit Minneapolis for some reason. Anything on the must see list? Any boat tours worth going on? Things to avoid? Planning on going sometime this month or in October.
The Mississippi River cruises through the locks are pretty cool - unfortunately, the water levels are so high that they might not be open. I would honestly plan a North Shore excursion up in Duluth. The leaves will be the right colors for that soon. But that's what I want to do this fall, so I am a bit bias. - If you do insist on Minneapolis/St.Paul - hit up some brewery tours (here is where I plug Burning Brothers). - Minnesota Rennaissance Festival goes weekends until October 2nd if you are into that goofy shit. - You can tour the new Vikings abomination we just built. - Apple season is just starting up - tons of orchards around here. - They are planning on doing tours of Paisly Park starting October 6th. - go here. It's hard to tell a tourist what to do, everyone has different ideas of fun.
