Tranny and guy were caught banging in the showers. Boyfriend of Tranny found and stabbed the guy Tranny was banging with a hot soldering iron in the shoulder. This was back when we had manufacturing in house and tons of temp workers.

Was evening supervisor at a PBS station, circa 1980. Had an employee who would not record or load for playback tapes of NOVA, because he was a Christian and didn't believe in evolution.

Also spent a lot of time trying to convince me I was going to hell for being gay.

I worked with him to deal with the tape issues, and was willing to discuss the Bible and its interpretations with him.

I quit and a week later, the boss fired him.

  3. Read in the news why I'm missing my teammate at work. He was caught filming underage girls getting out of the shower.

I guarantee I can top everyone.

September, 1990 - I'm an air traffic control specialist at LAX training a new-ish controller. She's has problems but has been slowly getting better, except for a couple issues that she just can't seem to grasp. Basically, when controlling air traffic she's fine, but she has trouble keeping track of aircraft on the ground. As a result, I fail her and recommend more training or re-assignment. She files a grievance with the union saying I failed her because she is a woman, AND that the cologne I wear to work is too distracting. Our tower chief, not wanting to deal with the nightmare/paperwork of a sexual discrimination lawsuit, grants her more time, with a different instructor.

Fast forward 6 months. This woman has now completed training, and is certified as a full performance level controller. I still see problems, but my tower chief tells me to shut up because she hasn't had any separation issues.

Feb 1, 1991 - This woman clears SkyWest 5569, a turboprop Metroliner into position and hold on runway 24L. She then gets distracted, and never clears this aircraft for takeoff. Shortly thereafter, she clears USAir 1493 to land on 24L, forgetting that Skywest 5569 is there. The USAir 737 lands, and slams into the SkyWest Metroliner, killing all on board, including Scott Gilliam, my 1st instructor as an Air Traffic Control Specialist when I was at LA Center in Palmdale, CA.

To this day, I'm not sure who was worse. Her, or my tower chief who was too much of a pussy to make the right call despite a mountain of paperwork.

I quit working for the FAA about 5 months later when I saw more shit like this starting again.

Man that made me laugh harder than it should.

One guy in my office was cutting plywood on a table saw, instead of laying the board flat on the table while cutting he had it at a 45 degree angle. Leaned in close to give it a good push and the board kicked back and crushed his eye socket and his eye popped out.

Guys in the field said they knew he was in for trouble when they found him sharpening a carpenter's pencil with a razor, pulling the knife towards him instead of away, at eye level...

I am not certain what the statute of limitations on claims are... but he just admittted he knew a person was incapable of performing their job yet let it pass. Despite not being the one in control (manager) he had knowledge which **could** have prevented the deaths of individuals.

Regardless of time, if I were a litigious person or an insurance company looking to score, I could use that as ammo dor a civil case. That deposition would not be fun.

  14. I once worked in an office that was suddenly overrun one Spring with insects - gnats, mold flies, roaches. The facilities people called in exterminators, but the problem didn't go away; it just kept getting worse. Finally someone got tired of the creepy-crawlies. They came in to perform a major search one weekend, and found that one of the office admins was a snack-stasher. Her desk was filled to capacity with half-empty snackfood bags and half-eaten things (some of which were totally unidentifiable). Apparently she would eat part of something, put it in a drawer "for later," and never touch it again. The bugs were breeding in her desk behind the drawers and in the space between the desk and the cubicle walls.

She was talked to by the facilities manager - nothing changed. She was talked to by her manager, and then his manager - nothing changed. Finally, after six months or so of constantly recurring infestations and an office environment that the exterminators were turning into a toxic wasteland, they got rid of her by eliminating her position, telling her she was laid off "due to cost-cutting requirements from Corporate." We were without an admin for a year before they finally got up the nerve to re-open the job.

I adjudicate unemployment claims for the state. Except for Bigheadzdc you guys are amateur hour.

Nurses giving half doses of narcotics and keeping the rest for themselves. One got busted after ODing in the bathroom with the needle still stuck in her arm.

I had a fun one with a guy. Salesman at a furniture store. Liked to show the women he worked with pictures of his children and grandchildren on his cell phone and to the female customers at work. One of the children had one eye and testicles. Oops...how'd that get there?

Had a claim with a fellow who had a grudge against a women he worked with so he jerked off into her water bottle.
    Twice.

Another dick. Asked a female coworker if she would take a picture of him to send to his girlfriend. The coworker agreed to so they went to an empty office where the guy pulled his dick out.

Oh...you CC guys will love this champion of 2a. School bus driver. Firearms aren't allowed at work, on the bus or on school grounds. After witnessing an argument between a driver of another company and a parent he flashes his handgun to the driver and makes a comment about why he carries. 2nd driver calls her safety director who calls the safety director of driver I'm dealing with. She radios my guy and tells him to park his bus and wait for someone to finish his route and to drive his replacements vehicle to the office. Genius figures its about the gun. Instead of putting the gun in his car at the station or even hiding it in the vehicle he is driving back he hands it to a student to hold for him until he gets back.

I could go on and on...

My first night on as a manager at Denny's. I got a phone call from a family member of a really odd dishwasher that the day manager had fired. I was told he had beaten and stabbed to death his grandparents at their house (where he lived and within walking distance) and nobody knew his present whereabouts, and he was on foot.

So I turned to the waitress beside me and said "Quick, Doreen, get me the number for 911". :D

Okay, I didn't say that at the time, but it would have been funny.

I didn't let it pass. I failed her. Our tower chief gave her to a different instructor who later passed her. Trust me, we went through A SHIT TON of review and investigation, and I was cleared by both the FAA and our legal system. Nothing I said here was anything different than what I said back in 1991. None of this is new info.

OK, this isn't an employee issue but it goes with this theme.

I was bidding a new restroom group at a GE plant. The drawings showed the mens and womens and a single restroom between them. I had bid many of these before and never seen this so I asked the engineer what was going on.

He said that bathroom was for "it".

"It", what the hell is that? Oh, that is for our tranny that works the assembly line!

Worst employee day ever ... We have a closed campus, employees are supposed to stay here. One temp employee decided screw it, I'm running out for lunch. As he's heading out, he's not paying attention and rear ends our GM ... In his Jaguar. So now he's sittin in our Safety Director's office relaying his information when we inform him that due to property damage occurring on company grounds, we'll be sending him in for a drug screen as per our policy. He then informs us that he won't pass. I then inform him that he's terminated.

In summation ... Breaks company policy. Ends up buying a shiny new Jag bumper, admits to drug use, and loses job. I have yet to figure out where he was going for his magical burger, but I sure hope it was worth it.
