what else you can do with bike that is been out for 8 years.it is not like you need new 600 every season with no time to mod anything.
    :D

I am going to really stir your pot :)
first,160 will handle that power no problem.
second,180 DOT michelin tire is better than 180x17 slick.
    :D

just for old times sake, exactly what years gsxr shock will fit on the SV?

I've heard the DOT is better than the slick. That's cool...with the 180 rear I can then run the PR3-5 instead of the Soft and Medium-Soft I run now. :) I'll feel more like a rear racer.

But its about time Michelin comes out with a new slick.

Anyhow....I can do the mod...why not?

I don't know man...I mean if Pedrosa can't get the 16" slick to work for him....why should I think it'll be any good for me.

What wheels do you have spacers for? That'd work on the SV650 for a 5.5" wheel?

    91-95 gsxr wheel or bandit 1200 wheel.and F3.
    they all heavier than stock.

    I thought the F3 wheel is a 5" wheel.

Anyhow maybe I'll just wait until I can afford some aftermarket wheels and get a 5.5" rear then.

it is,just mentioned I have kit for it.
if you order 5.5 wheel now you will have plenty time to save money for it.nobody stocks them for sv and it is months to get them.

btw.if you really want 5.5 rim badly any rim can be adapted if you have access to machine shop.
I have mounted new gsxr wheel,R6 wheel,636 wheel....problem is all this wheels need to be machined to fit.I only do it for myself or friends.it is not cost effective if you have to pay for all work.

And by putting that much extra weight and drag on the bike you just made a 80 hp ss bike again with a big tire on the rear with so much grip that the front pushes in every turn. I have never had a problem with the Michelin 160 DOT rear with 85hp but then again I dont go that fast either.

If you still want the wheels Bruce Stanford has several 91-95 GSXR wheel setups for the SV that I am sure he will sale cheap

that is when you stick gsxr front with 16.5 wheel on and everything is back to normal :D :D

Interesting....why would the front push in every turn when you have the exact same setup as a GSX-R600?

I heard about these injection molded wheels...are they any good?

Well we'll see....I do have 4 SV rear wheels so maybe I'll wait until I have the funds for the BST Carbon Fiber wheels....might as well go with 16.5 when I get them (just kidding!)
