Hey! Can someone tell me how WSB scores their races? With only one point b/w Bayliss and Edwards, I'd like to know how they do it as I'll be watching the races on Sunday. Is race 2 scored heavier than race one? I looked (briefly) for a WSB webpage but didn't see anything right off. Thanks in advance!
http://www.worldsbk.com/ http://www.worldsuperbikes.com/ Those are a couple of sites that you can start off at.
Here you go... Pos...........Points 1..............25 2..............20 3..............16 4..............13 5..............11 6..............10 7..............9 8..............8 9..............7 10............6 11............5 12............4 13............3 14............2 15............1 BTW, anything and everything you've ever wanted to know about MotoGP or World Superbike/Supersport regulations: http://www.fim.ch/en/rules/Sportifs/ccr/default.htm#
Thanks, Derby! But then I'm left with this naggin hpyo: They (Collin and Troy) finish 1-2 in race one and then flipflop in race 2. Who gets to write the "Dear Mom, I just won the WSB Title" letter???? Hmmmmm.... DHOOP! Nevermind. They aren't tied right now so Collin would take it by one point. But if they WERE tied... Oh, it'd come down to who has the most wins. Now, since WSB runs a two-race format, it's possible that two riders could have the SAME number of wins at the end of the season and.... Oh, nevermind. Slick. Overthinking it bigtime. OUT
That was an idavertent icon on that last one. I'm not used to this stuff. Plus I'm all flustered by the fight that's going on in that other thread. Tap outs, submission holds, you know.
Don't forget the point for Superpole. I wish they were showing it on TV. Should be as exciting as the race itself.
Um, they don't give a point for Superpole. It would still be exciting, though. More exciting than watching the F1 "watch and wait" qualifying.
