Or it could have been he remembered your previous governor, Mitt Romney. I do believe he was a Republican. Forgive him for not keeping current with the changing Governors.
So you are sating you are now worse off with $100 more? If so I will act like a liberal and take that burden off your hands. Other than that I have no idea what you are trying to say.
If you can't survive in anything but boom times you need to seriously sit down and sort out your personal finances.
Patrick is an aberration. Since Dukakis we've had Bill Weld, Paul Cellucci, Jane Swift and Mitt Romney. All Republicans. Ed King was a Democrat in name only. Linky We prefer fiscal conservatives. While Dukakis was campaigning for the presidency around the country proclaiming the "Massachusetts Miracle", our economy went down the tubes. Weld actually gave us a surplus after a couple of years.
Of course everyone was raising hell because Deval Patrick bought a Cadillac to replace the old Governors Grand Marquis. You're reaching when that's what you are bitching about.
Lesser of two evils I suppose. Due to this is the 3rd Presidential election, Im beginning to think that most 'quality' front runners in BOTH parties have some major skeletons in their closets hence why they dont ever throw their hats into the arena.
Who doesn't? Who hasn't done something in their life that would be considered embarassing or even worse? Problem is, most people take a Holier than Thou attitude towards those things. Bill Clinton smoking pot didn't bother me in the least, that he lied about inhaling did. Barack Obama having smoked pot and snorted cocain, doesn't really bother me. I give him credit as well for being up front about it. W having been arrested for DWI and being an Alcaholic doesn't matter to me, he has given it up. The big problem is that both parties and the media in general do all they can to avoid the issues by focusing on scanelous behavior and the like, but in the and that doesn't really make a difference. Barack Obama staying in that Church for 20+ years bothers me, because I don't believe him when he says he never heard what Rev. Wright said, which makes me think he agres with Rev. Wright, and that I can't accept. John McCain saying that he now sees that the American people want the borders secured first and has seen the light and changed his mind about Comprehensive Imigration reform, bothers me, because I don't believe him. What people need to realize and focus on is that neither of these men is perfect, neither one is going to align with you 100% on every issue. We as Americans must demand that the Politicians lay out there positions in detail and then we must weed through them, decide what we mostly agree and align with and choose who we believe will make the best POTUS for us not let the media and others decide it for us by bombarding us with commercials that avoid the real issues.
