I was at a gas station filling up my van in Idaho Springs Co. (my home at the time) when the "bike gang" in "Every Which Way but Loose" rolled in. Didn't think shit about it until I was told. They edited me and the truck out of the scene anyway.
Saw filming, never in front of a camera. First, the Great Santini, when they were shooting in the MCAS Beaufort, SC gym and some flight line scenes. I was in MAG-31 at the time. Second, Big Fish, the old house they filmed the witch scenes is about 1/8 mile from my place in Lowndes Country AL. More of an inconvenience than anything else.
When I was a kid, the next door neighbors were abducted and murdered. It was a few days before anyone found their remains, and another week or two before the perpetrators bragged about it only to be turned in by their own friends. Our house was in the background on a couple of those evening news shots.
As a nerdy student, I was on a game show called "Genies en herbe" with my school's academic team for two years in a row.
The Black Widows...man you're lucky you got away alive... Hmm lets see...1977-1978 so the van had better looked like....
I was on a local trivia/quiz show called Jr. High quiz. Won week one, answered a couple questions (coerrectly I might add) and lost the next week. I've always been proud that our two team alternates went on to score perfect 1600s on their SATs. They knew real stuff, but I knew a lot of bullshit. 40+ years ago
My Sister was on one of those back in high school too. Nerds. I've made the paper a few times.... One of us was the family jewel.....
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5173192/ I was in this documentary about my band; it's on Amazon right now. Lotsa fun "on tour stuff", a feature about me making art, and you can watch our marriage slowly disintegrate, hahaha
I’m not in it, but the new Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber video was shot in my building and on my street. It’s actually a pretty good song. They’re ALWAYS fucking filming in my building. Shit gets annoying when you’re trying to sleep in on a Saturday and crews are just banging shit around the hallway and on the street.
An episode of Walker Texas Ranger was filmed on the FIL's farm. That's my closest brush with Hollyweird fame.
Nope like on the track where I have been passed by most top pros I only get seen with a couple. Dad was in a couple of Pontiac commercials as a driver (he was a test driver). I have a long time friend who is a professional monster. Been in many movies all y'all would know for instance Hellboy II and the Robot in Lost In Space
I was on the news once, just standing in the background behind a reporter. It was in Seattle, apparently a couple of dumb shits had robbed a bank then fled from the police in their car through down town. We saw the car chase go by under us while we were in the monorail. When we got off and walked down off the platform we ended up right by the building these for-mentioned geniuses had crashed their car into. Apparently the car chase wasn’t enough fun for them, so they took to shooting at the cops which ended with one being killed by the po-po and the other critically wounded. We got there just as the ambulance was loading them up and the reporters were doing their thing. Saw myself on tv when we got home and turned on the news.
