Looking for a running '86 VFR750 or '86/'87 VFR700. I want to hear it run don't care about any other condition (crashed, rod knocking) as long as I can hear it start.

Best of luck on that one. Lol
If you find one running you will pay top dollar for it.
And if it hasn't run in while the carbs are stopped up and tank will be rusted inside.
    Check Offer Up.
I've found bikes there more than Craigslist.
    Good luck

Really all I need are the electronics, I just want to make sure they work first

Dan. Did you know you can use a 1990 vfr harness and box?

I need both cam pulse generators I think. Everything checks out but I can only get fire in 2 cylinders. I've changed the box and no go. I did buy a pulse generator from a '92 (I think) but it wasn't the same

You need the pickups for the flywheel if only 2 cylinders are firing.
86 is only yr with cam sensor.
87 box won't have any fire on a 86 is memory serves me.
But motors have 2 pulse sensors for flywheel and fire 2 cylinder each.

It's like Crack. Starts out cheap on 1 st one. Then it turns into a full on addiction. And you had better be good at working on them yourself.
Cause parts to make it fast are non existing. I've made Most of mine.
    But a good deal.

Sounds a bit to involved at the moment. I love the engine configuration tho. And the frame. And the fact that it's a Honda.

First i've got to finish my FZR project, then the GSX-R, THEN maybe I can get a VFR..

I'm sorry, but all this VFR750 conversation reminded me of this:

Hahaha, what silly things to do to a poor little VFR. That scary hydraulic clutch will get ya apparently..
