So sad, so sad. Prayers go out especially to his wife and children. Agree with others that its a tough way to start a season of riding and racing! Keep it fun and safe out there. RIP

What a tragic incident that took his life. My condolences to his Family and friends.

He died doing something he loved. We do take comfort from that.

The Vegas race was supposed to be my first ever race, my race bike not being ready in time prevented me from going.

I would have been racing in novice as well.

    Rest in peace.

Does anybody know if this loss was due to track saftey or was it just a bad get-off? (I've vever been there and can't seem to find a track map)

No problem with the track, it's a popular place to crash, it's a technical corner. It's a near hairpin turn. Coming out of it you're still in full lean while getting on the throttle for an even longer straight. You have to roll on the throttle real smooth or it spins out from under you. High sides are real common there.
