I was humming the Denis Leary asshole song this morning and the "kid" (he's 26) I share an office with was like "what's that song, I never heard it before"......So I teed it up on youtube, and he laughed. It came out before he was born. He's the one who, when I'm listening to RATM tells me I'm listening to "oldies". Fuck you! I won't do what you tell me
Somewhere in the stack of old T shirts, I have a "WPGU FM107 Progressive Rock" shirt from around 1977.

Them youngsters ain't got no bad-ass anime named after their anatomy neither. DragonBallZ: "I'm going to crush you...and throw you into the wind."
Damn. I still remember re-sizing pictures I wanted to keep down to under 100KB so I could get more of them on a 1.44MB floppy.
Back in the dialup days in highschool, we used to figure out which songs we were going to download off napster, then we all had a program to split each song up into smaller files, so you could fit them on 2-3 floppies. We'd bring them all into school the next day and share them around to save having to download that song yourself. CDR's were a game changer, then we all got cable internet so it didn't matter anymore. Then music sharing became illegal......
Here's one... Watching people pay stupid money for 90's japanese cars you couldn't give away for under $2500 in the early 2000s.
Check out the limited series on the creation of Spotify on Netflix, it's pretty cool how they did it.
I remember doing that too. Calling in requests, and hoping the DJ didn't talk through the first part of the song.
