HD deserves to fail for having the lack of foresight to capitlise on the Buell brand. At this point Buell would be well established brand and it already had a core fan base. Buncha dipshits.
I have to admit that it's about time HD began to look at other markets and I give them credit for that. I'm still passed that they killed Buell. Even the Buell's using the HD anchor, although reworked, were fun to ride. The Ulysses was a decent adv bike in its day. I say this as an owner of an r 1200 GS. It's big, it's heavy, but surprisingly versatile. My Buell 1125 r was perhaps the most fun bike I've owned, and by far the easiest to ride fast -- at least for me. I've had and ridden faster bikes and bikes that could handle better, but none as easy for me. YMMV.
i was about to say get that EBR influence back.. the e bike is refined(somewhat) at this point.... that just looks chunky and wrong
Wondering if with the "new lines" they'll do away with the gorilla sized 1" handlebars...or have they already on their newer offerings
of course. The Beemer was the most... but you didnt need to add anything after the purchase. It was ~$18ish. The Yamaha and the Honda were less money but not less bike. Then there is the KTM and Ducati versions. Thats a pretty crowded segment...no?
as much of a ducati fan as i am.... Harley had the V-rod in 2001.... if anything, Ducati bit on Harley i still want an Xdiavel though
I don’t know who is running things at HD, but they need to be fired immediately. They are clearly out of touch with reality. There is no way a millennial is going to spend $20,000 on a motorcycle...period. And with their old, bearded and tattooed base dying off, this company won’t last another five years.
They aren't selling to millenials. But on that score, the millenials do have the money to buy them so it is a viable market. People have written HD off so many times it's not funny. Yet here they are still selling a ton of bikes and gear
