Yea that's why I said "ray of hope".....sometimes I think the Andretti name is cursed, they seem to have a cloud over them sometimes. Marco's attitude doesn't help any. Mario is a great guy, Michael is tolerable, Marco is a douche.

Perez came to life today during quals. His team really needed that. My money is still on Max.

Russell disqualified. The win drops to Hamilton.

Underweight car?? How can they let that happen?

Could they have been cutting it so close that the lack of a safety car used too much fuel?

    Steeltoe What's my move?

Mercedes competing directly with Ferrari strategists

Car was weighed with all fuel drained out of the system. Still underweight.

George said 1.5kg. So not a minor oversight.

Possibly the one stop strategy.. The tires will weigh significantly less than if the had put on fresh tires. Also they don’t do a cool down lap at SPA . During the cool down lap they normally pick up tire rubber which would also add weight after the race but before being weighed.

I don't think they pick up 3.3 lbs of rubber.

It was Toto Wolf’s explanation for why they were under weight.

Hard to imagine it's anywhere near that. I have always thought that if the amount of rubber picked up actually matters, then they are cuttings things way too close to begin with. The amount of race time gained from the weight of picked up a rubber saved over the course of the season cannot possibly be worth a single disqualification.
Meanwhile, Baby Max doesn't look so superior when his car is not clearly head and shoulders above the field, does he?

No Max doesn't look so dominant. Piastri is gaining attention though. Another lap he would have given Lewis a headache.

Toto sure didn't look happy right after the checkered flag. I wonder if he already knew something.

If he doesn't overshoot his pitbox he probably wins

At first I thought his look was because Lewis didn't win, they seem tight. I wonder if he's smiling now? As good as Lewis is, his teammate should never finish ahead of him.
