Brit Floyd tomorrow. I've seen the Aussie version which was great. Heard good things about the Britt show. Lighting plot looks like the Division Bell rig.
I saw that show several years ago and its very good, almost too good. Much better than the Anti Trump rally Roger Waters was/is running.
Brit Floyd was pretty good. I walked out in the house and watched Wish You Were Here. Great crew but they didn't seem to be having much fun. Lots of back to back shows. Fk all that. Tomorrow however is Smokey Robinson, this is the second time I've worked for this dude. Last time was in 2017 I think? Anyway, the behavior of oooold drunk white women was atrocious. They were screaming from the balcony, they were at the edge of the stage grabbing at him. My theory is in the 60's these old white women were young white women and forbidden from listening to that jungle music. So now it's socially acceptable they can work out that teenage lust and act a complete fool when Smokey comes to town. I shit you not they would have ripped him to shreds if they got a hand on the old fella. Walkers and canes and dentures flyin every which a way. His hair is really nice. And since mine all fell out years ago I may ask him who his surgeon is.
Ooh-ooh (Ooh ooh) Debonair lullabies In melodies revealed In deep despair on lonely nights He knows just how you feel The slyest rhymes, the sharpest suits In miracles made real Like a bird in flight on a hot sweet night You know you're right just to hold her tight He soothes it right, makes it out of sight And everything's good in the world tonight When Smokey sings, I hear violins When Smokey sings, I forget everything As she's packing her things As she's spreading her wings The front door might slam But the back door it rings And Smokey sings, he sings Elegance in eloquence For sale or rent or hire Should I say yes and match his best? Then I would be a liar Symphonies that soothe the rage When lovers' hearts catch fire Like a bird in flight on a hot sweet night You know you're right just to hold her tight He soothes it right, makes it out of sight And everything's good in the world tonight When Smokey sings, I hear violins When Smokey sings, I forget everything yeah As she's packing her things As she's spreading her wings Smashing the hell With the heaven she brings Then Smokey sings, he sings Luther croons Sly's the original originator James screams (uh-uh) Marvin was the only innovator (Innovator) But nothing can compare Nothing can compare When Smokey sings (Sings) When Smokey sings, I hear violins When Smokey sings, I forget everything As she's packing her things (Ooh ooh) As she's spreading her wings (Ooh ooh) She threw back the ring (Ooh ooh) When Smokey sings Smokey sings (Smokey sings) Smokey sings (Smokey sings)
Regardless of politics, the Waters show was pretty good. It's on Netflix right now. Roger was always angrier than the rest of the band, but his lyrics were awesome. But he sang like shit.
I saw that, yes. It was cool, but the Rush guys sounded out of shape, not having played for more than two years now. Geddy Lee would belong in a Family Guy tribute because he sounds more and more like the old perv living down the street from the Griffins in that show when he sings lol
After watching Primus play the complete Farewell to Kings album live a few months ago, I have more respect for Les Claypool and his bass playing. They nailed that album. He even took a few bass lessons from Geddy.
Been a bunch of stuff crazy busy. Tonight is the Bryan Series. Special guest Venus Williams. Any questions you guys want me to give to her?
