Thank you Gents... Oddly enough a neighbor family we haven’t me was walking their new dog this evening, an American Bulldog, and I got some good puppy time in. Dude help a bit..
Sorry to read, Hyper. My golden just turned 14 today, and I’m dreading this time coming more than anything I can imagine. Cash had a hell of a run. As long as you did right by him, you did all you could.
I put down my 14+ year old border collie last week. Got up early, dug the hole, took him to the vet, and came home to bury him! He was a gem of a dog! Those are some of the toughest hours a person can have....never easy but certainly worth all the years of companionship. We all will suffer the same fate eventually.
RIP Cash,, sorry for your loss. We have one who is 16 and not doing well. They become part of our family. Remember the good times and smile, you gave him a great life. Wish all animals were treated that well.
I hate seeing titles like this because I know what’s coming. So sorry for your loss. RIP Cash. You and pop were lucky to have found each other.
ABs are the bestest dogs in the world!!! I seriously miss my ol'girl still after being gone for 11 years, this month . We are finally concidering fostering/adopting from the AB rescue to help out. Hang in there hyperdyne!
I had to put my Yellow Lab down at 11 years, due to cancer, he was going to die soon anyways. This dog was everything to me at the time. I still get tears thinking of that. People that didn't even like dogs, after they were around us, often said to me they'd keep that dog if ever I couldn't keep him. I feel you pain. We all go sometime.
After having a border collie for 14 years, I can't imagine having any other type of dog. Get a puppy. It does help.
Sorry. There are thousands of shelter dogs available. Dumbest thing i did was to wait years after putting one down to get another.
