    lost but never forgotten...

 Marco "Super Sic" Simoncelli - 10-23-11 MotoGP Sepang
 Peter Lenz - 8-29-10 MotoGP Indy only 14 years old and was a legend already
 Abraham Stacey - 11-6-10- AMA #461 - auto accident, very sad story, no seat belt. we pitted next to him at Grattan back in early 2010. He was very cool and a great guy.

    You all will be missed...

This is a quote I just found on Abe's facebook page:

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, shouting GERONIMO!”

I'll never forget it. My first race weekend ever in my first race ever we traded positions until i took him going into the last corner and held him off to the line. We fist bumped on the cool down lap. In the next race, 20 minutes later, the track was shut down and he was medivaced out after an expert clipped him while he was being lapped and he hit the wall.

    Plus 1 for this.
His presence is missed at OMRRA, but his two nephews, Kevin and Brian, sure do hold his standard high. both in riding ability and conduct on/off the track.

Sutton and Holley wasn't a WERA event but that doesn't matter for this particular list.

  15. kanatuna

kanatuna You can't polish a turd..

How so? Because it was practice on Fri rather than the actual race event?

Yep. Wasn't our day. Sadly with lawyers and such involved I need to make that clear.
