First off Sean if you want to move this you can stick it AHRMA is holding a sidecar school at Grattan June 21st. This will be for Race Licensed riders only. Maximum number of students is six (6) The cost is $100. Minimum gear required is leather jacket, leather gloves, 8" boots, long pants & Snell 2000 Full face helmet in good shape. To register contact Roger Preston by e-mail (preferred) at [email protected] put school in the subject line. Phone inquiries will be accepted from 6-9 pm eastern at 724-312-2468 Instructors for this will be Rabbie Demetrius, Dale Lavander & Roger Preston with a possible guest appearance by (wait for it)........................Will Harding (race referee & sometimes monkee). The plan is to use the flight deck during lunch on Saturday for some hands on work for both driver and passenger. This will cover the do's & don'ts and figure 8's (easier said than done). Questions & answers will be after racing Saturday evening for students and anyone interested immediately following the awards. Students wanting to try their hand on track can due so during the first round of practice on Sunday only in AHRMA approved full road race gear. The second round of practice on Sunday is for those who are going to race only. If you have a rig bring it out. We are working on trying to do another school at Barber, time will tell.
Come on Down. These will be vintage rigs only but they are still a lot of fun. I can't wait to try a left handed one at T-3
yea. your gonna have to hang off that thing like crazy to keep it from flipping with that off-camber T3 :wow:
Do they race any modern sidecars in the US? I would like to chek it out if so. The monkee is a crazy mofo!
I have some pics of the crazy vintage sidecar folk. They were up at NHMS for the Vintage Celebration.
The SRA is based in ontario. There are about 15 rigs that are active on the east coast.the race at mosport and Shannonville in canada as well as elkhart lake with the AMA national.
