Safety wire questions, Ducati 749

I was wondering how someone would safety wire the drain plug on a Ducati 749? The plug fits flush with the case covers so has not place to drill into.

    Thanks for the help,

    Aaron

Drill the face of the plug, angle the drill so you come out in the hex.

Don't forget to goop up all of those galley plugs on that thing...

You gonna make it to Summit?

Might have to order one that is specially made to be wired.

Thanks Tom, I will give it a try.

Yea I am gooping every thing I can. This is a lot different than my SV :D

Yea, I am planning on being at Summit for sure, looks like I will racing with you now.

How about you, will you be making it?

Just go slow, start the bit straight and slowly start to angle it towards the recess. Cobalt bits are the way to go.

I'll be there, but without a bike.

There's not a bike made that doesn't look better with white plates...

No bike, that stinks. It will be good to see you regardless.

I will let you know if I have any other troubles.

    Thanks
