After a lot of debating with my self, Its time to let this go. I built my dream bike with this project and it is phenomenal, but it isn't what I need right now in life. I am reducing my racing program to just one bike and I would rather see this get ridden then parked. Its a RZ350 prepped for AHRMA Next Gen Superbike Lightweight. It should be a very competitive bike. I raced it quite successfully at Mid-Ohio Vintage days. Posting the fastest lap times in the class but I still couldn't do consistently enough to beat Mark!! I hate that I'm not going to get to race it with the new cylinders that are going on, but the new owner should have a pretty nice ride! Here are the specs: RZ350 Engine: Freshly Resleeved Stock Bore RZ cylinders ported to make around 70hp with current pipe setup. Hinson Billet Clutch basket with straight cut primary gears. Toomey Pipes 36mm TM flatslides Brand New TDR Billet intake manifolds and Reeds PVL Ignition Cool Head Billet Head Lever Actuated Powervalves (can be fixed if owner prefers.) UNI Filters Bigger Radiator New Hoses Pingle Petcock Chassis: Frame Blasted, inspected, and painted before 2019 Season 4 weekends on Rebuilt and Revalved Penske Shock 4 weekends on Rebuilt 99 R6 Front End Rebuilt R6 Blue Dot Brake Calipers Brembo Master Cylinder New Braided Lines Rearsets have been setup to use SV650 rearsets so that spares are easy to get. New Clip-ons SV650 Rear Wheel conversion (gs500 drive hub) Tires are okay to practice on but I doubt they would last a race weekend Body work: Painted at the start of 2019 by Ghetto Customs (AKA: Chris Parrish) Vinyl Work by Wrap Around Graphics. (AKA: Ian Soderbom) I have some extra paint for touch up if needed. I never wrecked the bike, but I'm sure its been down at some point in its life. It comes with quite a few spares. Spare Cases, cylinders that are ported but need sleeves, reed cages, clutches, spare sprockets for different tracks, ect.. (there are totes full of stuff.) If you have any questions let me know. Thanks! Price $6500 Location: Nashville, TN I'll post pictures when I can resize them. Or here is the link to the facebook add if this is allowed. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2779106032142552/
WOW!! BEAUTIFUL!! Hey 90kacoupe. That rz350 you put me onto for sale (that I bought) is almost ready for testing.
Thanks guys! I really was trying to build the best RZ for the AHRMA class I could. The only things I had left to make it exactly what I wanted was, Lectron/SmartCarb, custom servo driven Powervalves, and a good Digital Datalogger with 2x EGT, Water Temp, and Tach. I'm glad that bike is working out. That was smoking deal on a decent RZ.
I know you're asking coupe but here is what I did with mine. I left the stock swingarm on it and I have a 17 inch 150 tire on it. They will accept an R6 shock with just a clearance mod and bushings from Economy cycle. It used to be a very common mod.
Its a fz600 Swing arm. Its pretty well documented. I really do think these bikes would love a little longer swing arm. but it wasn't a big priority for me.
Boy that thing looks familiar... Good luck with sale. That thing was my favorite by far. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
You definitely gave me a heck of start on this project! If it doesn't sell. I'll just keep it. I could use the cash right now. But I also know that this bike would be hard to replace.
Wow! just out of curiosity what is the est hp and weight? Awesome on the vintage class track record! What was Mark riding at the event?
Mark is a very fast experienced rider that ride Yamaha 2 strokes. He was on his RZ that was very similarly prepared. This bike make around 70HP and I never put it on scales but I would say its 260lb or something like that. I know its under 300lbs but I'm not real sure.
Not the only reason I stopped racing but it reinforced the fact that no matter what you do or how good you think you are something can always go wrong. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
Bump! I'm hoping to sell this to a racer. I have had quite a few people ask me what it would take to convert to a street bike. I would consider partial trades on small displacement racebikes, (rc390, r3, ect..)
