It sucks so bad that so many of the characters I grew up watching are gone. Johnny Carson, Red Skelton, Art Linkletter, Leonard Nimoy, James Doohan, DeForest Kelly, Merv Griffin, and so many others. It seems like every damn day someone I grew up watching has passed away. Lately I’m really feeling old.
From the original show the only major actors left are Shatner, George Takai, and Walter Koenig. I grew up watching a lot of older shows in rerun and syndication, so the actors I knew growing up have been dropping like flies for a while. I used to watch all the old westerns on the weekends back before the Nashville Network was TBN. When Mel Gibson did the Maverick movie and brought back all the old western actors for one last hurrah it was wonderful. So many of those men and women are gone now.
