Ok so John Edwards gets caught in a lie about slipping the Carolina Hurricane to a 40 something MILF. No biggie really unless you pull the holier than thou card. But there is an interesting article about how he would have had to pull out of the race or not run at all had he told the truth when asked last November about it. And had he not been in the race, Clinton would have most definitely won the Iowa Caucuses and Obama would have probably been stopped right there. And also, did the Nat. Enquirer (of all publications!) intentionally influence a US presidental election by timing the release of its bombshell?
One could actually take the discussion pretty far. Lets assume Hillary would have been the nominee and would have won the election: If Obama wins the election and screws things up If Obama loses the election and McCain screws things up
You could do that with any of the potential candidates and it didn't require Edwads not being able to keep his dick in his pants.
What Edwards did was okay. Remember, Democrats stopped caring about adultery after Clinton's crap became public. Of course the Republicans in Washington are just as bad. Well some are worse since there are some boys with sore asses too.
Or one could decide it's idiotic excuse-mongering. Clinton lost 11 straight primaries after Edwards dropped out. This was not mysticism or fate or any sort of chance event. Clinton lost because she ran a losing campaign.
