Rolling toolboxes with their smallish wheels just don't work in my toyhauler...ramp is too steep. I bought a cheapo furniture mover with big pnuematic tires and strapped a big metal tool box to it. That way I have drawers and it is big enough to load long items (like torque wrenches). Kind of like a home made stanley Big Max.
I bought this this year, and it has towed a pretty good line of being small enough to carry in a car, and big enough to keep all my tools separated moderately well. And I have this with basically every size socket I need which takes up the whole top area: All I'm missing is a good tool roll to keep my wrenches organized.
For not portable, but great at organizing, especially for the cost, this thing has been great when I take my toy hauler:
Main thing is to start off figuring out what you really need at the track. Even bringing tools for the RV and trailer along with the bike it's amazing what you can really pare it down to. The abyss is easier to deal with when you only have what you need in there
Been using a Husky this season... Very Very happy with it... Easy to roll in and out of the trailer... Good solid locking casters and smooth drawers that lock..On sale at Lowes for just over $200 if I am not mistaken...
I believe i didnt even pay that much for it..my old snap on guy sold it for less than $400, I believe
I went shopping at the depot for a toolbox, they kept getting bigger and bigger. Ended up with this one, loaded it's heavy as heck but I can manage loading it in and out of the van. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-26...C-_-NavPLPHorizontal1_rr-_-NA-_-205489147-_-N
