have work shop for work... just got email.. to be in Polson, Mt , in August upcoming yr....If I want... or can be scheduled in California, San Diego in May .... which I respectfully pass on! thoughts.. ? looking for not the norm spectators things in the area..any thoughts greatly appreciated.... in advance..
Polson is on flathead lake, which is an incredibly pretty area. The lake is very clear, it's amazing. Aside from that I know nothing about the town or what is being said.

In August it will be full tilt tourist season. Lots of good places around the lake to boat, fish, people watch, drink. Should be fun. About an hour from kalispell which is less touristy. Two hours north is glacier national park—I’d suggest that too.
Highway to the sun, in Glacier is a top ten in our bicycle journeys. There are some “BIG” Brown Bears there, so be aware.
I read this thread title in the list of threads and saw "Poison Mt". I was thinking "well, that doesn't *sound* good..."
Instead of San Diego?! Contrary to belief it still is pretty good in SD. LA is danger zone. SD is still ok and a shit ton to do. August weather still pretty hot. Just saying... Plenty of places to stay out of Riff-Raff here.
