The last time I was in Portland, which, admittedly was a number of years ago, a coworker and myself went to one of the local "gentlemen's clubs." The sign out front said "Happy Hour - Free Buffet." So we said "Let's check it out and grab some food." The buffet consisted of a movie theater popcorn machine from the 1950s and one of those gas station hot dog roller things. Said hot dogs also looked like they were from the 1950s as well. Strike one. Oh well, at least we can see some pretty ladies, right? Between the nicotine patches, scars, stretchmarks, hairy pits, and tattoos that appeared to be the work of "Blind Man's Tattoo Studio," that was strike two. Strike three came when we went to shoot some pool. The felt was repaired with green duct tape. The rack was a home made; a piece of wire bent in a somewhat triangle shape. None of the cues had tips on them. A few balls was missing from the set. When I asked about that (knowing I was going to get an odd answer), I was told that some of them were used in a fight that happened a few days ago. Enjoy Portland!
Cool story bro. Sounds like I should go to one shitty strip club in Missouri and judge the entire state. Oh, wait... I did that. Haven't been back. #Imahypocrite oops
I've been to the Union Jack a few times after a fat steak at the Ringside. It ain't pretty but gets the job done. Oregon and Washington have the some of the best scenery in the US. The mountains, the coastline, the Columbia valley and the Gorge going toward the coast are all amazing. Food and beer out there is as good or better than anywhere else and once outside the city center, people are cool and easygoing (i've never had an issue within the city either). If you haven't been then you have no idea. If you've only been to Seattle or Portland, you still have no idea. And if you do go, stop by EDR and check out bikes. Its a cool ass shop.
Going back this weekend to sign docs and get keys on a commercial building. I might try to stop by Moto Corsa for my Ducatis and then EDR for my other bike stuff. Might looking into having someone transport all my bikes instead of me trying to crate and ship.
The ducati dealer there was pretty cool too. I poked around in their used bike barn and found a bunch of moto Czysz stuff.
