Didn't seem dumb at the time.

 

I mean if you know how to use a clutch any car can pull away without applying power. When I was in college, I taught a lot of people how to drive a stick. My v6 mustang was super easy to learn on as it had decent torque. My “final exam” was to pull the car over a speed bump without using any gas. But, when I got a Miata I found out it just didn’t have the torque at idle to climb up the speed bump. The funny thing was that I didn’t know it until I told one of my “students” to try it. After they failed like 15 times, I swapped with them and realized it wasn’t possible.
