Is this more of the government passing laws for the people stuffing their pockets or does this serve some legitimate purpose? Seems lke from everything Ive read its going to hinder a lot of the websites I frequent.

 

SOPA is another power grab from the RIAA, MPAA and their lawyers. Same people who came up with the 'flicted HDMI protocol, macrovision and rootkits. And no, it's not a joke. This legislation is typical of the corporate lackeys we have who profess to be our representatives.

It all will depend on how many politicians in the pockets of the interweb giants like Google et all vs the ones in the pockets of studio execs. Needless to say the citizens paying attention are AGAINST it.
