Oh yeah. Too Dark Park. Last of the good ones imho. Kinda went a weird direction after that don’t you think?
Robo gave these to me after his first show in DC since forevah!!!!! We’ve always hung out with them pre/after shows during the Graves period, although we were all fiends long before that guy was around. The night Robo gave me the sticks, he was just hangin at the bar drinking pre-show, and nobody at all knew who he was but me. I walked right up and threw down my Spanish and he was so taken by it he was buying our crew beer the rest of the show and hanging with us afterwards. Dudes funny and really laid back
Very cool! I had a night just like that with the Murphy's Law drummer way, way back. Just him and I talking most of the time at an after-show party. Very chill dude compared to the rest of them. He played me the Cro Mags demo (which hadn't been released yet) and also got me listening to Public Enemy. Very impactful night for me musically now that I look back on it.
Murphy’s Law was always a great show! The last time I saw them may have been a Misfits actually and ML was just before them. That may be a show our oldest daughter went to and she was playing backstage with Brad Roberts(GWAR drummer) son. They were both same age, 5 at the time. They were painting black under their eyes to look like misfits Will dig for pics, but they’re buried deep
Absolutely agreed. Last Rites has a few good ones, but they definitely lost their mojo after Too Dark Park.
BTW, this one is from Hurricane - Slave to the Thrill. Rare cover art with the woman. Mass produced album covers just had the table / machine thing.
You haven't lived til you've dropped acid and stared at this album cover for an hour. Or was it 10 hours?
