Fritz was always on a Yamaha and then teammate to Miguel on the VR1000 but I remember him. Always smiling...

My best memory of him,he drove a rental car up to turn 2 at Road Atlanta. The Yamamonster had broke or crashed? Not sure? He was pissed off,and proceedes to start throwing back Budweisers!!
He laid on the hood and window of the car,and just blew off some steam!! I didnt bother him,but loved his style!! He watched the entire endurance race, then went back to his pit

I want to see the Honda up there, but it just doesn’t stand a chance in a straight line.

seeing the superbikey honda v yates ss honda shows how little one gets for a lot more money. If everyone was on SS builds Cam would likely still win, but the grid would be tighter.

Before that he was just a kid at the club races on a Honda 500 Single put together by his dad, Fred.

Drivers! Drivers! We’re drivers! But hey, at least they had the foresight to put the Baggers last, knowing they were going to lay oil on track

Yea, Kyle forgot he wasn't in gear and carnage in T1 at the start. Both fortunate they didn't get hurt:eek:

It would be so nice for a split or gate in the front inside concrete wall for teams instead of walking all the way around.

TBF, I don’t know what Gillim has. How Superbikey is “Superbikey”?

I remember Stanboli said you’re not sniffing the podium without at least 220whp in Superbike trim. Figure you’d need 30hp or so more out of that motor from SS trim. Let alone everything else.

Greg white said he has the forks, triples, offsets, and motor but hasn’t got the rear end upgraded yet. I assume that means swingarm.
These Hondas stock motors are 205hp with the right bolt ons and flash/tune. Would need very little with the race gas and some really mild work to get it to 225-230 is my guess.

I bought the VIP ticket, and he happened to come up and talk to us. He reinjured his wrist - he said the radius had a non-displaced fracture.

Makes me think the only bikes sniffing them numbers are probably the Duc and BMW considering the trap speeds.
Andrew and Jayson pretty much left everyone down the back straight.

I thought it was an interesting weekend for superbike.

Herrin seems to be happy with the math of scoring more points than he did last year at the first two rounds, I think he's leaving out some very important math in missed points by an injured Cameron last year.

I hate to say it, but I don't think Jake is 100% physically.

Cameron hasn't lost anything while being super careful.

It's sad, and I hope I'm wrong, especially with several manufacturers putting money in, but I think Cameron is about to put on a clinic...

I think that BMW team with Cam riding it has an edge on the rest of the field. He has 89 wins...

I agree about Jake...he wasn't able to match his fast lap times but I'm glad he is taking it 1 race weekend at a time.

Maybe Herrin is happy to race for 3rd now...

Herrin is always a slow starter, but he’s made a career of being strong at the end of the season. That said, he was helped last year by everyone getting hurt at some point (Cam, Loris, Cam P, Jake, etc).

At 32yo, Cam B is still the class of the field, and the BMW is basically a decade newer than the Yamaha and Suzuki designs, and the Ducati just seems to struggle some on the Dunlop. The new swingarm on the BMW has seemed to have taken the edge off the bike and Cam is just rolling.

I think Cam is dead set on getting one more before he hangs it up and I think he knows he probably could have had one or two the last few years on the BMW.

Not convinced Jake is 100% there, maybe he’ll never get there again. Glad to see Yamaha is letting him take it one race at a time.

SDK looks great, and I think as Cam B, Jake, Josh, etc. get older and begin retiring, he’ll be “the guy”, along with Gerloff if he comes back and wants to continue.

SBU, on their dynojet, and with a 2024 WSBK M1000 from BMW Europe, put down 227whp.

Comparing dynos is a slippery slope, and all Dynojets are happy relative to other types, but that would be in the ballpark based on what Stanboli has said as well (and I believe he’s usually quoting Dynojet numbers as well)

The BMW's had all the legs! From 7-10a,and off 12 alone they start to disappear. And Gillam is waiting on a Harris swingarm? Great racing, but damn! The Yamaha looks like some old shit now!Not a fan of the Fonger, but he rode the shit outta that thing to keep the lead in sight! and had the forethought to stay upright!!
