Or, another way to say it is that P16, who is 8 seconds off of P1 in that session, posted a trap speed of 118.7mph and Wyman, who was P1, posted a trap speed of 118.3mph. Keep banging that drum, man.
Only 36 Twins Cup riders set times, and the last one wouldn't make the time cutoff, so no one being eliminated by the 36 rider cap at this point. Qualifying will likely change that.
SSP P1, 24 entrants on live timing. Hayes immediately established himself. Herrin had a odd timing split and was in the pits. No registered time until last 5 minutes of practice. Won't know the competitive balance shakeup until Q. Appears the 750's have 2-4mph top speed advantage so far. Good stuff!
SBK P1, 17 entrants. Jake has set the pace so far. Yamaha enjoying a significant speed advantage over the rest of the field. Petrucci hopefully working on setup. His progression is very steady .
I proclaim it the weekend of the "J", although I could be completely wrong about this too. Prediction is these riders will get the most points this weekend in their class. Jody (Twins) Josh Hayes (SS) Jake (SBK) For the long shot: Joesph (Jr. Cup) As to top speed, I can't imagine going through that kink fast enough to have a 178-mph trap speed. Egad.
Do you understand that top speed is determined by other factors than HP, correct? Your incessant yapping about bike performance is getting a little old, when we know that rider performance has a huge effect on top speed readings at any given track. How about if you just give it a rest and allow us to enjoy the racing? Have a nice day.
STK 1000 P1, 42 entrants on live timing! FOUR different manufactures battling! The Kawi's are nipping at the leaders heals. Come on May, make Honda great again!.
No no, how fast you go through the turn leading up to the speed trap has zero impact on the top speed. Are you new or something?
Ducati has had top speed for like 10 years. Why haven’t they win ever single race and championship?? the math ain’t adding up
Cody must of snuck into P1 late in the session. I'm multitasking very badly. I'm working ya know! We will see how everything stacks up in about 15 minutes. Thus far SPEED or lack thereof has been directly proportional to where the podium shakes up. At least in the MA class live timing thus far. Really geeking out watching all this data come through. (Pushing my glasses up)
