Condolences to and your family, but thanking your dad for his service to our country. Agent Orange is nasty stuff. We get patients here at Duke all the time with cancers related to AO exposure.
So sorry for your loss. As others have said, we can completely relate to losing our dads. Mine has been gone 15 years. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. The biggest heartache of all is that he dies when my son was only 6 months old. My son just has pics and stories to know him by....
Losing my father was the most difficult thing I have ever had to deal with. It takes time and I wish you the best.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, may the Lord comfort ya'll as only He can. Many thanks to your father for his service to our nation, and to you and your family as well for the lasting impact of that service. As mentioned previously, that AO stuff was very nasty! I met a fella not too long ago that has had four different types of cancer directly attributable to it.
Sorry man. My condolences. Lost mine 3 years. Died in my arms while alone with him late one night at the rest home. It’s seared into my brain forever. Time heals many wounds. But I miss my dad as much as ever. RIP.
My mom and I were at my dad's side as he lost his 3rd battle with metastatic prostate cancer. He won the first two. That was 2013, and I miss him pretty much every day. His birthday is Sunday. Would have been 76. Sorry for your loss @Woofentino Pugr
Thanks again. The second taps started playing a bunch of us lost it. Whole lotta Marines there. Lots of relatives I couldn't name if I tried. I think Kleenex's stock went up 3 points after today.
Gets me every time - doesn't have to be a funeral. Hell, just a movie with the flag being lowered will still do it.
