I had one in my old Tacoma (Wisconsin) Left the hitch in a bit too long, and it was stuuuuuck. I even tried our fire dept's. new Hurst jaws cutter/spreader to try and pry it out. It actually stalled the spreader. That thing can tear almost anything apart. Finally lots and lots and lots of heat, a huge slide hammer, about 30 minutes and a bunch of blisters and the bitch finally came free. Remember kids, take your hitches out when you aren't using them. Saves your shins too.
Wish I owned one. Also tough to use in the space I had without getting a lot of heat into the hitch itself.
That hitch saved me from buying a rear bumper and making an insurance claim twice. I NEVER take them out in the city. Half this city is high on pills or weed or they're union line workers and start drinking at 9a.m
I had one get stuck on my FJ Cruiser a few years back. Traded it in with the hitch still stuck there.
Seriously. Real easy way to make sure your hitches aren't rusted solid to your receivers is to take care of your equipment, ya filthy animals.
Hitch wasnt rusted into the receiver, was actually greased. The cheap locking hitch pin had been butchered by a PO.
